The four previous years Hamlin had trudged over to Johnson’s party, bought him a bottle of Dom or Ace of Spades champagne, offered him a toast.Johnson is in his head now and that's not good his career maybe mediocre from now on Johnson is not going to get worse so he has to improve.With new rules and a new season Daytona is bigger for Hamlin than anyone he must bury last years disappointment early in the season,and this is the perfect place to start,if he could win here its possible he will never look back,if not he looking up at Johnson all season or Harvick or even Busch.

I never thought I would be so disappointed in Super Speedway racing. The last 3 years that has been the only racing worth watching and now they have ruined that. There is no anticipated thrill to watch 20 shell games going on at once. The strategy of this is going to be screw the car behind overheating...if I'm out front and its close to the end....why would I change positions. This is going to be a cluster*&%#. May the most selfish driver with the biggest ego win.
If most people do as we will, I don't know how they could even get sponsors.......DVR.....fast forward through for the last 5 laps.
If I paid for a ticket I would be SCREAMING for my money back!!!!!!!!

 What happened to the duels between Ford, Chevy, Dodge in their cars, not some identicial cars that they say are Fords, Chevys and Dodge. Ten years ago the cars were all shapes and sizes, now just one. NASCAR and the owners have destroyed the sport. Let the teams use what ever car they want and get rid of the restrictor plate. If things don't change in the next few years, you won't see the fans come out like they do now nor will the TV mega-dollars come in. RIP NASCAR.

Guys , I've been watching racing for many years and this is definitely not racing, racing is not 2 cars pushing each other around the track and then the last lap one of them wins, these guys should not even be allowed to touch one another unless by accident, want to see who has the motor, the right car, setup and the best pit stop. They can't even come to pit row without someone to come with them, very very sad. People need to rise up with their comments, the people can force change, anybody with me.

Dale and Bill France Sr. are rolling around in their graves. Absolutely pathetic!! Looks more like ballroom dancing than racing. Get rid of the stupid restrictor plate!!! Raise up the rear spoiler to slow them down!! Do something! Sure glad I started following this in the early 70's!! Maybe they need to put Pearson, Cale, Richard, the Allisons etc. in charge instead of the clowns who are running it now. What a disgrace. No wonder the stands are getting more empty year after year.

NASCAR has hit a new low at Daytona. Since when has racing been about two man teams - as a former racer this is the stupidest racing ever seen. The Arca race wasn't any better, the new track has one groove (on the yellow line) and nobody could pass. NASCAR you should dump the restrictor plate races, it is not racing, it is total luck.

n my own case, I guess it's not so much a case of Jimmie Johnson burnout as it is that I'm burned out at the commentators and the press talking about Jimmie Johnson as if he was the Second Coming, Folks, Chad Knaus ain't John the Baptist by a looooooooong shot. While Jimmie and Chad have had an INCREDIBLE amount of good luck during their championship runs, I haven't seen either of them walk on water just yet...although to hear the media swoon about them, you'd have to expect that Jimmie and Chad both possess that ability. Let's call the only four-consecutive-time champion what he is: fortunate to have been able to seize the opportunities that arise from having the most INCREDIBLE racing luck in the entire HISTORY of the NASCAR Cup series. [And, YES...I do find Johnson's kind of luck strains credibility.If Johnson is to continue his dynasty, he'll have to finish today's Ford 400 at least three spots ahead of Denny Hamlin, who leads Johnson by 15 points and Kevin Harvick by 46.

With all its troubles NASCAR is not dead yet and this race may draw a record amont of viewers i think we a;ll will be surprised history will be made today and even the slightest NASCAR fan will want to witness it,
