Is It Johnsons Day Again
n my own case, I guess it's not so much a case of Jimmie Johnson burnout as it is that I'm burned out at the commentators and the press talking about Jimmie Johnson as if he was the Second Coming, Folks, Chad Knaus ain't John the Baptist by a looooooooong shot. While Jimmie and Chad have had an INCREDIBLE amount of good luck during their championship runs, I haven't seen either of them walk on water just yet...although to hear the media swoon about them, you'd have to expect that Jimmie and Chad both possess that ability. Let's call the only four-consecutive-time champion what he is: fortunate to have been able to seize the opportunities that arise from having the most INCREDIBLE racing luck in the entire HISTORY of the NASCAR Cup series. [And, YES...I do find Johnson's kind of luck strains credibility. If Johnson is to continue his dynasty, he'll have to finish today's Ford 400 at least three spots ahead of Denny Hamlin, who leads Johnson by 15 points and Kevin Harvick by 46.
With all its troubles NASCAR is not dead yet and this race may draw a record amont of viewers i think we a;ll will be surprised history will be made today and even the slightest NASCAR fan will want to witness it,
