Since there will be warm ups of the cars for the race, the green flag for the Daytona 500 race perhaps would be between 1-1:30 pm. Last year, Daytona 500 race moved back to a 1:00 pm start time, which should result in it ending in daylight. However, two red flags caused by track surface issues led to long delays that pushed the race into 7:34 PM Eastern Time start time, pushing the race into prime-time for the second time. Once the Daytona 500 2011 start time arrives, then fans will have all their questions answered in the next 250 laps.
