February 20, 2011. Live coverage will be at FOX at 12 noon Eastern Time. Since there will be warm ups of the cars for the race, the green flag for the Daytona 500 race perhaps would be between 1-1:30 pm. Last year, Daytona 500 race moved back to a 1:00 pm start time, which should result in it ending in daylight. However, two red flags caused by track surface issues led to long delays that pushed the race into 7:34 PM Eastern Time start time, pushing the race into prime-time for the second time. Once the Daytona 500 2011 start time arrives, then fans will have all their questions answered in the next 250 laps.
